Postdocs

The IOER offers postdoctoral positions for independent research within the framework of our research programme. We also support postdocs from programmes of the DFG, the EU (e.g. Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions) and foundations.

The concrete support of the postdocs is defined in individual target agreements. On the other hand, a support program is compiled based on the needs and goals of the postdoc.

Postdocs work in one of our four research areas and are supervised by a mentor. Postdocs are also expected to support doctoral candidates at the IOER. In addition to the cooperation within the institute, networking with scientists from other research institutions and universities in Germany and abroad is encouraged.

The IOER also supports habilitations as a special step of qualification for colleagues on the way to a professorship. For this purpose, individual paths of career development are promoted.

The Leibniz Institute of Ecological Urban and Regional Development is jointly funded by the federal government and the federal states.
